Knitted tea cosy
They say necessity is the mother of invention. Right now there is a cold front loitering in my home town. The cure obviously is to make a pot of nice, hot tea. Alas the tea cools down before you have the chance to drink it... So what better solution than to dress your teapot up with this lace knitted tea cosy. Your teapot will be happy for a new coat, and you'll be happy that your tea is nice and hot. Win-win. Enjoy!

Assembly

Try the two parts on your teapot and put safety pins to mark the holes for the handle and spout. Using mattress stitch seam the two pieces together. Thread the satin ribbon through the top, and make a nice bow. Or you can sew the top shut and add a pom-pom. Now go make yourself some nice hot tea.
